in this next installment, Marquez and Ben get a call stating that a hospital has been broken into. they drive over and find the 15 yr old girl who they helped deliver her baby. she is on the ground, brutally beaten and she says her baby was stolen. after finding a couple clues around the hospital, they narrow it down to one suspect and drive off to his house after they get his address. they find the culprit in the living room, who happens to have a friendship with marquez. according to marquez, he used to be a gangbanger, but is now trying to set his life straight. the retired gangbanger tells them that while working at the hospital earlier that night, the girl came in and tried selling her baby to him so she could buy crack-cocaine. he said then that his mind went blank, and went into a rage, badly beating her, and taking her baby back to his house because he thought it was the right thing to do.he returns the baby to them after holding him one last time.
